Three
Orlando Chapter Presidents at WWP 2009!
(L-R,
Larry Simmons, CFM-current President, Richard "Bud" Hosier,
CFM- Past President, Geoff Allen, CFM LEED AP- Past President)
World Workplace - what an experience! The annual IFMA Conference brought
together an estimated 3,800 attendees from 35 countries to view the trends and new products
impacting today's built environment.
The Orlando Chapter had the privilege of assisting IFMA HQ in
many areas and it gave me a whole new appreciation for the time and
effort that goes into a conference.

As the holiday season
approaches, we generally take time to reflect the past year. The year
certainly presented an uneasy business environment for many of our
chapter members, professional and associate alike. Several chapter
members are unemployed, associate's businesses are down and managers
have been required to reduce their work forces. Let's all keep our
positive thoughts and hope that 2010 is a more lucrative year. read on

As the 4th quarter
newsletter goes to print; it will be the final edition for our editor,
John Mitrovka. It has been a
great honor to have John on the Board and his effort with the
newsletter has been invaluable.
John became the editor for the Spring 2008 edition and has his
commitment to the newsletter has giving the chapter a concise,
informative and up to date resource for all facility managers to
read.
Although John is relinquishing the
editor position, he plans to remain active in the chapter. The Orlando Chapter extends a very
special thanks to John for creating the newsletter that we enjoy and
wish him well.

Make the year 2010 More Sustainable
for All of Us
As we enter a New Year it is
the custom of many to make New Year's Resolutions that though well meant are typically not thought through and as time
passes these resolutions tend to fall by the wayside. Well, I want to
challenge each of you this year to consider change in the way that you
approach sustainability and how you can be an active participant of
sustained change.read on about
