How did you get started in Facilities?

Scott: -I joined the US Navy in 1973 as a Lithographer - they decided for me that THEY needed Machinist Mates; Therefore, I ended up in the engine room of a ship instead of a print shop. I grew up with wrenches in my hands, so it was a natural fit. After my honorable discharge, my first real job was a power plant operator at a hospital. Turning to warm weather in Florida, start of rainy season which usually means a few things.

At work, time to update the "hurricane" (or emergency office closing plan) and get everyone thinking about what to do in case of an emergency. We're feeling the effects of a slowing economy, as I'm sure many that deal in residential development and governmental industries are also. I'm spending more time "on the hoof", making sure the public spaces are in "guest ready" condition, and that all the tools we provide for our employees to be successful are working smoothly... click here to read more President'message

Golf Committee Announces New Charity for 2008

The Orlando Chapter's annual golf tournament is planned for Friday, October 10th!

It will be held at the Stoneybrook East Golf Course and the selected charity this year will be the BETA Center.
