Chapter Structure & Strategy
The IFMA Greater Orlando Board of Directors firmly believe that IFMA is a vehicle for facility managers to gain professional knowledge, development, encouragement, and business networking. In order to ensure the membership gains the appropriate experiences, resources, and motivation; the Chapter executive board bi-annually reviews the IFMA and Chapter strategic documentation for the following reasons:
- Ensure alignment with Chapter Area of Emphasis’ and Association Mission and Vision.
- Familiarize themselves and newly appointed Board of Director membership with IFMA strategic guidance.
- Develop or update documentation as required via an ad hoc Strategy committee.
The Greater Orlando Chapter (GOC) of IFMA Board of Directors gets its powers and duties from bylaws and The IFMA Chapter Operations Manual. Per the Bylaws The Board of Directors is specifically empowered to adopt rules, policies and procedures that is issued through its officers. The board acts as the administrative arm of the Chapter, and it transacts the business of the Chapter between regular meetings.
The 2021 Strategic Plan will be posted after the planning sessions take place in Jan and Feb. We are a bit behind this year!
